Lauren Gard joined Infinite Public Relations in 2009 after working as a journalist for more than a decade. She has been on staff and/or written for numerous publications including BusinessWeek, Marie Claire, The San Francisco Chronicle, The Recorder, MSNBC (online), The Daily Yomiuri (Tokyo), SF Weekly and the East Bay Express, among others.

Lauren received a B.A. from Pomona College, Cum Laude, in 1999 and a Masters of Journalism from the University of California, Berkeley in 2004. Her first job out of college was covering Bay Area law firms and corporate counsel for The Recorder and other American Lawyer Media publications. After graduate school she moved to New York to work for BusinessWeek, where she wrote about individual and corporate philanthropy and penned the magazine’s first article on blogging. From there she moved to Marie Claire, where she focused on health and international trends. Lauren has received national recognition for her work including the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism, first place in the National Association of Black Journalists Salute to Excellence Awards, finalist in the Missouri Lifestyle Journalism Awards, and finalist in the James Beard Journalism Awards.

In addition to reporting on myriad topics over the years, Lauren has taught English in Japan, has carried out on-the-ground reporting on sex trafficking in former Soviet Bloc countries and Turkey, has worked as a private investigator in the Bay Area, and has traveled extensively in more than twenty countries.
